One garage, not forty-nine
Worth saying plainly: we have one workshop, on Annfield Road in Dundee, and the bodyshop at Hawkhill Court a few streets away. We are not a chain and we have no branch in any of the towns listed above.
Those pages are there because someone in Cupar or Kirriemuir searching for a garage deserves to know whether we are a realistic option for them — not to suggest we are round the corner. Plenty of people do travel in, particularly for an MOT or a bigger job, and plenty do not. Both are fine.
Getting here
Annfield Road sits in the west end of Dundee, just off Hawkhill and a short way up from the Perth Road.
- From Fife — over the Tay Road Bridge, then west through the city
- From Perth and the Carse of Gowrie — the A90 into Dundee from the west
- From Angus and the coast — the A92 from Arbroath and Montrose, or the A90 from the north
- Across the city — the Kingsway rings the north of Dundee if you would rather not cross the centre
There are directions to both addresses on the contact page, with a map.
Worth knowing before you set off
- Book first. Turning up on spec from half an hour away is a gamble. MOT slots are on the online diary and everything else goes through a message or a phone call.
- An MOT takes 45 to 60 minutes, so waiting is realistic even if you have driven in. Bring something to read.
- Send photos first. If it is damage, a warning light or a part you are unsure about, a couple of phone snaps with your enquiry often means we can tell you what you are looking at before you make the trip.
- We open at 7am, Monday to Saturday. An early drop-off is usually the easiest way to fit a longer job around a working day.
- Think about how you get back. If you are leaving the car with us and you live a fair distance out, plan that bit before you set off rather than after.
Not on the list?
The towns above are the ones with a page, not the limit of where our customers come from. If yours is not there, it almost certainly does not matter — ask us.
Coming to us: common questions
Do you have a branch in my town?
No. There is one workshop, on Annfield Road in Dundee, plus the bodyshop at Hawkhill Court nearby. The town pages are advice for people in those areas, not branches.
Is it worth travelling in from Fife or Angus?
That is your call and it depends on the job. For an MOT you can wait while it is done, so it is one trip. For something bigger, the car may need to stay, so think about how you would get back. Ring us and we will be straight with you about what the job involves.
Can I just turn up?
Better to book, especially if you are driving in. MOT slots are on the online diary and anything else is a quick message or phone call.
Do you collect the car?
Ask us when you get in touch and we will tell you what is possible for your job and where you are. We would rather answer that honestly on the day than promise it here.
My town is not listed. Do you still cover it?
Almost certainly. The list is the towns with a page on the site, not a boundary. Get in touch and ask.
