What we take on
Brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, exhausts, cooling systems, timing belts, batteries and charging, and the general running faults that do not fit neatly into any of those. Cars, vans and light commercials, all makes and models.
Worth getting looked at
Most mechanical faults give you notice. The ones people most often leave too long:
- A new noise — grinding, knocking, humming or a squeal that changes with speed
- Anything that has changed about how the car stops or steers
- A vibration through the wheel or the seat that was not there before
- Puddles or drips under the car, or a smell of coolant, oil or burning
- A warning light that stays on, or one that keeps coming back
- Overheating, or a temperature gauge that will not settle
